Join Verve on the web from a supported phone, tablet or computer. Explore dating and community with practical local guides for Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide—without invented member counts or activity promises.
18+ only. Local profiles, communities and event activity depend on current approved membership.
Search with context
Verve is independently operated in Australia and designed around the realities of lesbian, bisexual, sapphic and queer connection. That includes dating, friendship, community conversations, events and venue discovery where current content and membership are available.
Australia’s size makes honest distance settings essential. A metro-area match and an interstate match involve very different time, cost and expectations. Verve does not publish a verified Australian user total or guarantee a profile, event or reply in any city.
Plan the real journey
Each Verve city guide addresses different geography, transport and first-meeting considerations. From harbour transit in Sydney, trams and variable weather in Melbourne, river crossings in Brisbane, through to sunset coast distances in Perth and Adelaide’s 20-minute parkland grid.
Specific, not absolute
Verve requires a current selfie as part of its application process. Automated checks assess one-face presence and apparent consistency with the moderated profile photo; every submission remains pending for human review before member access. An approved profile means the application passed that process at the time it was assessed.
It does not certify identity, age, gender, relationship status, intentions, location or future behaviour. People can misrepresent themselves, and conduct can change. Keep your own boundaries, use public first meetings, arrange independent transport, never send money, and report pressure, impersonation or harassment.
Selfie and application-review records are handled for application assessment, safety, fraud prevention, security and legal purposes under Verve’s Privacy Policy. Access is restricted, and retention depends on those purposes; Verve does not claim that every record disappears immediately after a decision or account deletion.

Applicants submit a current selfie. Automated checks assess whether one face is present and whether it appears consistent with the moderated profile photo; every submission remains pending for human review before member access. This can reduce some misuse, but it cannot prove identity, age, gender, intentions, safety or future conduct.
Describe the kind of connection you want, choose discovery preferences, and add enough detail for another person to start a real conversation. A label never replaces clear communication or consent.
Use dating, chat and community features where current membership is available. If something feels wrong, stop engaging and use the relevant report control when available or email verve@verve.dating. Verve does not promise a fixed response time.
Know before joining
Approved free members can browse Orbit profiles without a daily profile limit, send up to 10 outgoing likes per day, keep unlimited one-to-one chats, and join up to 10 public groups or non-general community spaces under a shared limit. Community participation, event browsing and RSVP, and venue-map browsing are also included. Verve does not and will not show ads inside the member experience.
Web Premium adds unlimited outgoing likes and unlimited joined public groups or non-general communities; Who Liked You; full alignment details; advanced and keyword filters; location changes; private groups; Mixer; profile customisation and themes; Discover and Learn content; and venue submissions.
