Verve Dating Pty Ltd ("Verve", "we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your data when you use the Verve mobile application and website (verve.dating). By using Verve, you agree to the practices described herein.
We collect information you provide directly, including: name, email address, date of birth, profile photos, sexual orientation, gender identity, pronouns, location preferences, and subscription payment details (processed securely via Apple App Store or Google Play — we do not store card data directly).
We also collect usage data including: app interaction logs, match and messaging activity (metadata only — message content is end-to-end encrypted and inaccessible to Verve), device identifiers, and crash reports.
Verve uses approximate location data to power discovery features. We request "While Using the App" location permission only. We never access your precise GPS coordinates without explicit consent; discovery uses a configurable proximity radius (e.g., within 5 km). You may disable location access at any time in device settings — discovery will fall back to city-level data. Location data is never sold to third parties.
All data in transit is encrypted using TLS 1.3. Direct messages are end-to-end encrypted using the Signal Protocol — Verve has zero access to message content. Profile data at rest is encrypted using AES-256. We conduct regular third-party security audits and penetration testing.
Our website uses essential cookies for session management, and optional analytics cookies (Firebase Analytics) to improve user experience. You may opt out of analytics cookies via our cookie consent banner. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with trusted service providers (cloud hosting, analytics, payment processing) under strict data processing agreements. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect user safety.

Active account data is retained for the duration of your account. Upon account deletion, personal data is purged within 30 days. Aggregated, anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely.
Verve is strictly for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we discover an account belongs to a minor, it will be immediately deleted.

By downloading, installing, or using the Verve application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use Verve.
You must be at least 18 years of age to use Verve. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. Verve is designed for lesbian, sapphic, bisexual, and queer women, and people who identify as women. We reserve the right to remove accounts that misrepresent identity for the purpose of accessing this women's community space.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete registration information. Each user may maintain only one account. Impersonation is strictly prohibited.
The Verve application, including its source code, design, brand assets, and content created by Verve, is the exclusive property of Verve Dating Pty Ltd and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app solely for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or sublicense any part of the application.
You retain ownership of content you post on Verve. By posting content, you grant Verve a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display, and moderate that content within the app. You are solely responsible for content you post and agree it does not violate any law or these Terms.
Verve reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate accounts that violate these Terms or our Community Rules, at our sole discretion and without prior notice. Users may appeal suspensions by contacting verve@verve.dating. Upon termination, your licence to use the app ceases immediately.
Verve provides tools and moderation to promote safety, but cannot guarantee the conduct of all users. By using Verve you acknowledge that you interact with other users at your own risk and release Verve from liability for user conduct to the fullest extent permitted by law. Report concerns immediately via the in-app report function or verve@verve.dating.
Verve is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or specific outcomes from use of the app.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Verve's aggregate liability for any claims arising from use of the app shall not exceed the subscription fees paid by you in the twelve months preceding the claim.
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of New South Wales.
We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via in-app notification or email with 14 days' notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

Verve is a home built by queer women, for queer women. These Community Rules protect the safety, dignity, and joy of everyone in our space. By joining, you commit to upholding them.
Use real photos and accurate information. Identity verification is required. Catfishing and impersonation result in immediate permanent removal. Your authentic self is what makes this community beautiful.
Any form of harassment, hate speech, discrimination, or bullying — based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, body size, disability, relationship style, or any other characteristic — will result in immediate account termination. One strike is all it takes.
Never share explicit content without clear prior consent. Never share another user's private information, photos, or messages outside the app (non-consensual intimate image sharing is illegal and will be reported to authorities). Always ask before sharing personal contact information.
If you experience or witness a violation, use the in-app report function or email verve@verve.dating. Our team responds within hours. Do not engage in retaliation — escalate to us.
Our community includes lesbian, bi, sapphic, queer, and non-binary women of all ethnicities, body types, relationship styles, and backgrounds. Fetishization, exoticization, or exclusionary language of any member is prohibited.
Commercial promotion, unsolicited advertising, pyramid schemes, and bot activity are strictly prohibited. This includes any unsolicited links, OnlyFans promotion, or repetitive copy-paste messages.
All profiles must complete our identity verification process within 7 days of account creation. Unverified accounts have limited functionality. Verification helps us maintain the world's most trustworthy lesbian and sapphic dating space.
Posts in the community feed must be on-topic, respectful, and appropriate for our women's community. Political content that is hateful, graphic violence, and illegal content are not permitted. Verve's moderators may remove content at their discretion.

Verve Premium is available in two billing options:
All pricing is inclusive of applicable taxes where required by law. Prices are subject to change with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.
Payment is processed exclusively through your Apple iTunes account (iOS) or Google Play account (Android). Verve does not directly process or store your payment card information. Your subscription charge will appear on your statement as charged by Apple or Google, respectively.
Your subscription automatically renews annually unless cancelled. Your iTunes or Google Play account will be charged the subscription fee within 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period. The renewal charge will be at the then-current subscription rate.
Where a free trial is offered, it will be clearly displayed at the point of subscription. Your payment method will be charged the full annual subscription fee when the free trial ends unless you cancel before the trial concludes.
iOS / App Store: Go to Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Verve → Cancel Subscription.
Android / Google Play: Open Google Play Store → Profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Verve → Cancel subscription.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to Premium features until the period end date. Cancelling does not delete your account.
Subscription fees are generally non-refundable. All refund requests for iOS purchases must be made directly to Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com. All refund requests for Android purchases must be made directly to Google Play per their refund policy.
Verve may, at its sole discretion, issue refunds in exceptional circumstances (e.g., technical failures preventing access). Contact verve@verve.dating for assistance.
If your account is terminated due to a violation of our Terms of Service or Community Rules, you will not be entitled to a refund of any unused subscription period. To cancel and delete your account, cancel your subscription first (see Section 5), then delete your account from in-app Settings.
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. Existing subscribers will be notified at least 30 days in advance of any price change and may cancel before the new price takes effect.
