Subscription Terms

⚠️ Important Auto-Renewal Notice: Verve Premium is an automatically renewing subscription. Your Apple iTunes or Google Play account will be charged $5.50/month or $55.00/year (depending on your chosen plan) within 24 hours before each renewal date unless you cancel at least 24 hours before that date. You may cancel at any time in your device's subscription settings.
1. Subscription Plans & Pricing
Verve Premium is available in two billing options:
Pricing is inclusive of any applicable taxes where required by law. Prices are subject to change — see Section 9 for notice requirements.
2. What's Included in Verve Premium
A Verve Premium subscription gives you full, unlimited access to all premium features, including:
- Unlimited matches and messaging
- Full profile visibility in discovery
- Advanced location and preference filters
- Full community feed access, group membership, and event RSVP
- Profile boost features
- Verified member badge on your profile
- Priority customer support
- Zero advertisements
Feature availability may vary by region and is subject to change. Significant reductions in included features for existing subscribers will be communicated in advance.
3. Billing & Payment Processing
All billing for Verve Premium is processed exclusively through your Apple iTunes account (iOS) or Google Play account (Android). Verve does not directly collect, process, or store your payment card or banking information.
Your subscription charge will appear on your payment statement as a charge from Apple or Google, respectively. For billing disputes, contact Apple Support or Google Play Support directly.
Payment is charged at time of purchase confirmation. For renewals, payment is charged within 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period.
4. Free Trials
From time to time, Verve may offer a free trial period for Verve Premium. Where a free trial is available:
- The trial duration will be clearly stated at the point of subscription
- You will not be charged during the free trial period
- Your payment method will be automatically charged the full annual subscription fee when the trial ends, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends
- Verve reserves the right to limit free trials to one per Apple ID or Google Play account
5. Auto-Renewal
Your Verve Premium subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) unless you cancel it. Specifically:
- Your iTunes or Google Play account will be charged within 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
- The renewal charge will be at the then-current subscription rate ($5.50/month for monthly plans, $55/year for annual plans)
- You will retain Premium access for the full renewed period regardless of when during the period you cancel
To avoid being charged for a renewal, you must cancel your subscription at least 24 hours before your renewal date. See Section 6 for cancellation instructions.
6. How to Cancel Your Subscription
You may cancel Verve Premium at any time. Cancellation prevents future charges but does not immediately remove your Premium access — you retain it until the end of the current paid period.
To cancel on iOS (iPhone / iPad):
- Open the Settings app on your device
- Tap your name at the top (Apple ID)
- Tap Subscriptions
- Tap Verve in the list
- Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm
Alternatively: Open the App Store → tap your profile photo → Subscriptions → Verve → Cancel Subscription.
To cancel on Android (Google Play):
- Open the Google Play Store app
- Tap your Profile icon (top right)
- Tap Payments & subscriptions
- Tap Subscriptions
- Tap Verve
- Tap Cancel subscription and follow the prompts
Cancelling your subscription does not delete your Verve account. To delete your account, go to Verve app → Settings → Account → Delete Account.
7. Refund Policy
Subscription fees are generally non-refundable once charged, except where required by applicable law.
For iOS purchases: Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple's refund policy applies. Verve has no control over Apple's refund decisions.
For Android purchases: Refund requests must be submitted directly to Google Play per their refund policy (generally within 48 hours of purchase for automatic approval; after that, requests are reviewed by Google). Visit the Google Play Help Center for instructions.
Exceptional circumstances: Verve may, at its sole discretion, issue a refund or credit in exceptional circumstances (e.g., significant service outages preventing access, billing errors). Contact verve@verve.dating to request review. Decisions are final.
8. Account Termination & Subscription
If your Verve account is suspended or permanently terminated due to a violation of our Terms of Service or Community Rules, you will not be entitled to a refund of any unused subscription period. The subscription will be cancelled as of the termination date.
If you voluntarily delete your account, any remaining subscription period is forfeited. Cancel your subscription first (Section 6) before deleting your account to ensure no further charges occur.
9. Pricing Changes
Verve reserves the right to change subscription pricing. For existing subscribers, we will:
- Provide at least 30 days' advance notice of any price change via in-app notification and/or email
- Allow you to cancel your subscription before the new price takes effect at renewal
- Never apply a price increase to a subscription period that has already been paid
10. Subscription Gifting & Transfers
Verve Premium subscriptions are personal and non-transferable. They cannot be gifted, shared, sold, or transferred to another account or person.
11. Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Subscription Terms limits or excludes any consumer protection rights you may have under applicable law, including the Australian Consumer Law or equivalent legislation in your jurisdiction. Where your statutory rights provide for remedies (including refunds) that are broader than our policy above, those statutory rights apply.
